Silicon rubber cold shrink tubing with mastic suitable for the sealing and protection to communication cable in mobile station. It is very simple to install. While heat shrink tubing is the most common choice in cable splicing and connector coverage, there are often situations where it is impractical, unsafe, or simply impossible to use heat shrink. When applying shrink tube in volatile environments where the introduction of heat may be dangerous, cold shrink tubing offers all the benefits of heat shrink tubing but without the need to introduce heat. This allows our clients seal and cover cables, connectors and pipes in a safe manner. A perfect application for cold shrink tubing would be covering high-voltage cables for mining equipment. Adding heat or a flame to this type of environment could lead to the ignition of an unknown flammable gas. Using cold shrink in this application can save lives. Cold shrink tubing can also be used for covering and insulating underwater oil pipes.

Cold shrink tube is an open ended cable protection shrink tube, made from EPDM materials. It is a popular alternative to heat shrink products. Cold shrink tube is designed to from tight sealing protection tube without the use of a heat gun or any other tool like tape of glue. The cold applied products are artificially stretched at the factoryand a breakaway core is inserted to keep it in place. To apply, just position the tubing and slowly remover the plastic core.
